The extraordinary talent of Jon Hemingway matured over twenty years as a creative force with musical groups entertaining up and down the west coast. In 1997 he began performing as a solo entertainer and at the same time took his many musical abilities into a newly constructed recording studio. In 1999 his years of hard work and dreams were realized with the release of his first solo album of original music
JON, his partner Wayne Dombroski, and their studio, Johewado Music, celebrated their recent banner year '2001 - a jonwayne odyssey' with some proud moments:
Musical arrangements in conjunction with the Vancouver Men's Chorus for an 1100 person convention at which JON also performed live, an appearance in the songwriter's showcase portion of the Merritt Mountain Music Festival, a sold out concert in November with JON and three other incredibly talented solo recording artists combining their multiple talents in a musical revue to be repeated in 2002, and the 'cherry on top' was performing an original song with DAL Richards and his orchestra at Vancouver's 2800 seat ORPHEUM Theatre on November 11th - a fund raiser for the B.C. Entertainer's Hall of Fame
Along with the creation of radio jingles & commercials, performing live two or three weekends a month, and collaborating with other songwriters, JON also worked on the arrangements & production of two full length albums for other artists during 2001 while squeezing in a bit of time to write some exciting new material for his next album scheduled for release in summer of 2002
